Without children and families a school is worthless. The time has come for parents to come together and take back the control of your children's education. I cannot do it alone! Use this space to introduce yourself to me, share your stories, struggles and concerns. This campaign isn't about me, it is about parents coming together for their children.

I've worked around kids since I joined sports, as a young athlete I've volunteered for soccer camps and events.
Now as an adult I coach an array of sports, soccer (indoor and outdoor), baseball and wrestling. I've been working with kids since I volunteered as a coach (for 5 years now) of all different backgrounds. Each parent that I've coached their child can vouch that I've helped mold their kids into fine young men so far.
If your looking for a degree in some sort of child education, I do not have one. I put alot of time with the childern I'm involved with may it be struggles they have on the field or off the feild. Example, one of my boys came to me with a problem with him being bullied in school. I listened, assured him that there was nothing wrong with him and talked him through it while adding solutions. Like doing the right thing and telling a adult he trust, going to the teacher, principal and parents about his problem. Then I spoke with his parents to let keep them in the loop.
My only teacher when it comes to handling kids is the life lessons I learned raising my own and the teams I coach.
4 years ago I had an Idea to get my team more active in the community which I came up with Avengers (team name) gives back. Where every Nov/Dec we reach out to the community asking for families in need and we help by supplying multiple families with Thanksgiving Feast and providing them with a Christmas. Teaching the boys that is good to help your neighbors, to be humble and as always never look at it as a hand out but a hand up. Cause we all have fallen one way or another, it's nice to have someone help you rise back up so you never feel helpless.
I hope I answered your question. I could only give you my experiences and if you want more I have a ton more I've learned especially in these last 5 years as a coach and 9 years as a Father.
A school board doesn't need to be someone educated in education, it is supposed to be someone who is a representative and voice for the values of the community members. I fell like I could be that voice and help not only my son to a bright and promising future but other students too...any way I can.
justin, so you are saying that on or before october 2nd, 2021 your primary residence has been in kitsap county? you are stating as fact that since that date you live/eat/sleep in the same home as your ex-in laws in your "vacation home" in port orchard, a home owned and occupied by your ex in-laws? you don't live in tahuya, in mason county with your wife and young child in a home that your current wife owns? i sincerely hope that the evidence supports your claims of residency and that you intend to stay in port orchard should you prevail in your bid for a school board seat.
