"I am just a Dad and my kids, and everyone else's kids, are important to me."
Coaching
For the last 4-5 years Justin has invested his time coaching wrestling, baseball and soccer. Justin has continued to coach the rec teams even though his son has moved up to more advanced teams.
"I'll never leave those kids just because my son isn't playing with them anymore. Those are my kids too, on and off the field".
NM Avengers Gives Back
Every year at Christmas and Thanksgiving our soccer team, the Avengers, finds families in need and supplies them with holiday meals, presents and a Christmas tree. Everyone should get to have a Christmas!
Bags filled with clothing and gifts selected by Justin and his wife to be given to families in need last Christmas. Their next stop was the grocery store to purchase items for a Christmas feast!
Back the Badge
Justin and his team brought together various law enforcement departments to put on an event for kids in the community. The kids got to have their face painted, talk with law enforcement officers and check out all of their equipment, even the bomb bot! Events like this play a huge role in bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community! Before leaving all of the guests got to sign the back of a wooden flag that was donated to law enforcement.
Law Enforcement Appreciation
Justin's son Tanner proudly waves the Blue Line Flag as a show of appreciation for local Law Enforcement.
Last year Justin worked with a team to organize the Silverdale Law Enforcement Appreciation event. At the event protesters that showed up, and surrounded him calling him names like "Uncle Tom". Justin kept his cool and took the time to talk with the protesters about their feelings and why he disagreed. Name calling and accusations don't help anyone. Growth happens when we take the time to hear each other out.

While protesters may have been more focused on race, son Tanner was focused on meeting other kids, offering them water, and coming together as a community.
